Materials Needed:

·         One paper for each group with a different question or thought on the current topic

·         Colored pens

Directions:

  1. Students are divided into small groups
  2. Each group is given a piece of paper with a question or idea relevant to the topic and a colored pen.
  3. Students work in their groups to write down responses, thoughts, and ideas related to the question.
  4. Give the students a time limit to discuss and answer their question.
  5. After the allotted time has passed, students pass their sheet to the group next to them in a clockwise rotation.
  6. The groups then read their new question and the response of the previous group.
  7. Students discuss within their group if they agree or disagree and what they might add.
  8. Students then write their own thoughts in the topic.
  9. The carousel is continued until each group has had the opportunity to respond to each question.
